Chuck Ros President

Chuck has more than 20 years experience developing software, managing technical teams, and building companies. Before becoming President of Emerald Software Group, he was the CTO of SolutionData and the President of ITWorks. Chuck was also a senior software engineer at Computer Sciences Corporation. As the President of the Emerald Software Group, Chuck is responsible for all strategic relationships, product and market strategy, and all company operations. He holds both a Bachelors in Computer Science from the University of Southern Mississippi and a Masters in Business Administration from William Carey College. He is a published author, a Rotarian, active with the Technology Association of Georgia, and a member of the AeA.

Jeff Hayden VP of Product Management

Jeff has more than 20 years experience in information technology. Prior to joining Emerald Software Group, he was a principle systems engineer for SolutionData and ITWorks, and he was a senior network engineer for ABN Amro Bank, and for AllState, where he managed the global implementation of Microsoft SMS Server. Jeff's dual role is as the director of Emerald's professional services and as director of Product Management, leading product life cycle efforts for the company's strategic products. Jeff is a co-founder of the company and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and Management Information Systems from the University of Minnesota, Duluth. He is active in the North Fulton Chamber of Commerce, the Technology Association of Georgia, and a member of the AeA.

Chuck Breath VP of Business Development

Chuck has more than 17 years experience in business management and IT. With a finance degree from the University of Mississippi and a MBA from William Carey College, he spent the first part of career as a financial analyst for Lockheed Martin and Sverdrup Technology. He was controller and IT Manager for an insurance third party administrator based in New Orleans and a principle systems consultant for ITWorks. Chuck was the BI Business Development Manager for SolutionData and President of Blue Heron Technology, which specialized in database application development and Geographic Information Systems consulting. Chuck's role with Emerald Software Group is to lead business development activities for the company, including establishing distribution partnerships. He has been an active volunteer for the Hancock County Chamber of Commerce and served on the boards of the local youth soccer league and St. Clare Elementary School.

Jay Torrence VP of Client Services

Jay has 10 years of experience in Human Capital Management. Prior to joining Emerald Software, Jay managed an HRIS/Payroll team at the North American Mission Board, a large non-profit agency based in Alpharetta, Georgia. Jay also worked in payroll and benefits for ChoicePoint, and was an actuarial analyst in the retirement practice for William M. Mercer, Inc. Jay joined the Emerald team as a Senior Consultant in 2007, and was subsequently promoted to VP of Client Services. Jay is responsible for all client service functions, including professional services, implementations, and ongoing customer support. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Georgia College and State University, and in his senior year Jay was an NCAA All American tennis player. Jay is a member of IHRIM, the American Payroll Association, and the AeA.

Patrick Caldwell VP of Research and Development

Patrick joined Emerald Software Group as a Senior Software Engineer and quickly demonstrated excellent technical skills and leadership talent. Previously, Patrick developed scientific software for Duke University Medical Center. He earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from Auburn University in 2002 and continued his education at Elon University where he earned an MBA with a focus in Management/Information Systems in 2006. Patrick now leads all of Emerald Software Group's Research & Development activities including all product architecture and strategy. Patrick has published works in scientific journals and in technical and aviation magazines. Patrick is a Toastmaster and an avid private pilot, is active with the Technology Association of Georgia, and is a member of AeA.
